The Orthodox Clergy Association of Greater Bridgeport, Connecticut has been in existence for nearly a half century. It was established to encourage fraternal relationships between the clergy and faithful of the numerous local Orthodox parishes.
The Clergy brotherhood meets regularily to discuss items of mutual pastoral concern and plan and implement educational programing and coordinate joint liturgical services at various times of the year.
The clergy and the faithful of the Orthodox Christian Churches of the Greater Bridgeport CT region gather to celebrate Vespers on each of the Sundays of Great Lent. During the Nativity Fast, a common celebration of the Holy Mystery of Unction is celebrated. A Pan-Orthodox choir and cantors from the local parishes provide the responses to these joint services.
The Clergy Association works in close cooperation with the Pan-Orthodox Philanthropic Women's Council of Eastern Orthodox Churches of Greater Bridgeport and the Fellowship of Orthodox Christian Churches of Connecticut to provide a witness to the Beauty and Truth of Orthodox Christianity.
